Art has been one of the most important parts of my life for as long as I can remember. Starting with my family influences and then leading through my education with a degree in fine art and ultimately teaching a few college classes myself.

I began professionally working in fine art and illustration which led to a job in advertising. Next, with a partner, I started, owned and ran a graphic design company and gallery for over 20 years. We donated time, creative help and money to the arts community and continue to do so.

Dean Johnson Design was and still is a cornerstone of the Mass Ave Arts District in downtown Indianapolis. We started the gallery as a way to not only show the corporate community the value of the arts, but to give the arts community a respect for opportunities presented within the corporate sector.

I've always been fascinated by and have explored a wide variety of mediums and styles which I've tried to represent here on this site. My hope is to allow people to view the work and to contact me directly with any questions or just to discuss the arts in general.
